Fathead Pizza Base

I saw someone on Instagram make this base the other day. I have no idea how I didn’t know about this ridiculously good pizza base until now. Especially considering pizza is one of my fav things! I really like cauli bases because of the extra veg, but this base beats it in taste and texture. If you haven’t tried it, please do! Here is the original recipe!  

Equipment required 

1 food processor 

1 baking sheet 

Baking paper 

Shopping list (for 1 base) 

1 3/4 grated cheese, I used cheddar 

Plus extra to sprinkle on top 

3/4 cup ground almonds 

2 tbsp cream cheese 

1 egg

1 tsp onion powder 

2 tsp oregano 

Method to the madness 

Preheat the oven to 220C 

Line a baking sheet with paper 

Process the ingredients until combined in a processor 

Spread the base onto the baking sheet evenly 

Fork the base 

Cook for about 12 minutes until golden 

Top with you favourite toppings, I used courgette, asapagus, diced onion and fresh tomatoes, sprinkle with a small amount of cheese (the base is cheesy) 

Bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese is melted 

I then added diced black garlic and some avocado oil 

ENJOY!
