Spiced Almond & Flaxseed Crackers 

Low carb snack ideas are always welcome in this house. I am always on the look out for a delicious and nutritious snack that fits into a low carb lifestyle. Making it yourself means you can control what goes into your snacks and avoid the added nasties in processed snacks. These crackers are easy to make, well spiced and can be eaten with toppings or by themselves.

Equipment required 

Food processor 

Baking tray 

Shopping list 

3/4 cup of almond flour 

1/2 cup of milled flaxseed 

1/4 cup of cold butter 

1 egg 

1 tsp onion powder, mild chilli powder 

1/2 tsp cumin, paprika 

Salt to taste 

Method to the madness 

Preheat the oven to 180C 

Whizz all the ingredients together until it becomes a dough 

Roll out the dough between 2 sheets of baking paper to desired thickness 

Slice into rectangles or circles 

Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes 

Eat as is or top with different toppings
