Parmesan Crisps

This recipe is tasty, quick and couldn’t be easier. These treats can be made large or small depending on what you want to use them for. A smaller version would be a great base for a pate or other sumptuous topping. The larger versions are good to sit alongside soups, atop salads, or just to munch on!

Equipment required

1 grater
1 lrg baking tray
Sheet of baking paper or aluminium foil
Mixing bowl
Paper towel

Shopping list for 6 lrg crisps or 12 small

1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan
Shake of ground cayenne pepper to taste

Method to the madness

Preheat the oven to 180C

Grate the Parmesan with the large side of the grater

Mix the cheese with the cayenne pepper

Cut a piece of baking paper or aluminium foil to size

Place the Parmesan onto the baking tray in rounds, whatever size you desire, make sure they are spread out, keep the discs thin for crispness

Bake for 3-5 mins, keep an eye on them, once bubbling and golden take them out and leave them to cool

Carefully remove them from the baking paper or aluminium foil, place on absorbent towel to remove any excess oil. ENJOY!
