Oat Bran Galette

Oat Bran Galette

This is a recipe straight out of the Dukan book. The galette tasted like cardboard and egg, mmmm. The change in texture from yoghurt and meat was a welcome relief though. I think if you mix up the flavours you could actually turn out a half decent product. I made one for my husband last night using 0% raspberry flavoured fromage frais, then topped it with the remaining fromage frais, a handy dessert. This morning I used ground chicken stock instead of salt to go with an egg and some ham. So, if you get creative it is actually a very handy recipe when doing the Dukan.

Equipment required

1 mixing bowl
1 non stick fry pan
Paper towel

Shopping list for 1 galette

1.5 tbsp of oat bran
1 egg or egg white
1.5 tbsp of 0% quark or fromage frais
Tiny pinch of salt
Tiny amount of oil

Method to the madness

Heat the fry pan to a medium heat, put the oil in fry pan and then wipe out with the paper towel

Mix the ingredients together, pour the batter into the pan and cook for 3-4 mins on each side

Eat as is or as a side to a meal. ENJOY!
