Garlic Mushrooms & Spinach
An excellent, quick and easy side dish that will sit pretty along side practically any protein. Pictured here with a fillet steak topped with some duck mousse and beetroot dip, the combo went together extremely well.
1 lrg fry pan
1 garlic crusher
Shopping list for 2 people
220g of mixed mushrooms, I used shiitake and oyster
2 cloves of crushed garlic
1 tbsp of olive oil
2 lrg handfuls of baby spinach
Method to the madness
Heat the pan to a high heat, cut the mushrooms in halves or quarters as you desire
Once the pan is hot add the olive oil and the mushrooms, once the mushrooms have a nice colour add the garlic and stir through
After a minute add the spinach, turn the heat off and add some seasoning to taste. Serve with your fav protein, ENJOY!
