You will never buy hummus again once you know how easy it is to make. You can do a million different variations by adding new flavours. For example you could stir in roasted garlic, caramelised onion or paprika, the options are endless. While chickpeas are a little carby they are full of protein and let’s face it, they taste great.
1 hand blender with chopping attachment or food processor
1 400g can of chickpeas
Half a lemon
1 tbsp of good quality olive oil
Salt & pepper
Method to the madness
Simply strain the can of chickpeas and place into the blender, if you are using a small blender you might have to do this in 2 batches. Season, add the olive oil, squeeze in the lemon to taste and blend, how simple can it be. ENJOY!
